Recon brings Reykjavik to Frankfurt.
A 6 metre high illuminated T3 fabric wall was used to entice visitors to ‘Meet in Reykjavik’
BRIEF
Meet in Reykjavik approached Recon to create an exhibition stand that would help to promote the city of Reykjavik as a meeting place for conferences and events and the surrounding areas. Reykjavik markets itself as one of the top destinations for international conferences worldwide. With the city’s facilities and venues ideal for both large and small gatherings. Recon has had a long standing relationship with Meet in Reykjavik so they knew they were in good hands.
OUTCOME
Covering a floor space of 50 square metres, the design consisted of a massive six-metre-high T3 light wall and adjourning storage room for staff of Meet in Reykjavik to use. The large back wall showcased a beautiful landscape of Reykjavik.
The front of the large wall was finished with two large fabric graphics, with the two graphics featured a single image. The graphics were mounted so that there was no break between the image, this was achieved using the T3Frame’s fabric comb profile.
Take a look at how tension fabric graphics are mounted with T3Frame.
To make the graphic really stand out to the public it was illuminated using the revolutionary Wandlite LED tube. In total 72 x 1250 mm T3Wandlites were used to backlight the 6-metre wall. Normally illuminating a display wall of this size would be a waking nightmare for electricians or exhibition stand installers. This is not the case when the revolutionary T3Wandlite solution is involved. One of its most unique features is its ability to be daisy chained and its simple powering abilities.
The design brief also called for a variety of display monitors to be included into the back wall and storage room. These were used to broadcast promotional videos created visitors to the exhibition. Recon integrated these monitors fantastically using T3 monitor support hooks for the display on the light wall and internal supports for the monitor in the storage room.
INSTALLATION
The installation of the exhibition stand was completed by a team of 2 people in 48 hours without the use of tools or levers at any point of the construction. In this time the team was able to assemble all of the structures, mount graphics and configure lighting.
Once the show was finished a team of 3 was able to dismantle and pack up the entire stand in 6 hours. The profiles and extrusions are then able to be reconfigured and used in other projects for Meet in Reykjavik in the future promoting T3’s sustainability and cost friendly benefits.
Our client Meet in Reykjavik does a lot of shows all around Europe so keeping logistics costs low and build up times short are always crucial factors for us. With T3 we are able to solve both of those problems easily due to the lightweight and modular design
